Private Reading during Reader's Workshop

We have been working on Private Reading during Reader's Workshop. We practice reading our just right books by pointing to each word. We look for patterns in the books. We learned that the books we are reading have one pattern change on each page. We memorize the pattern, point to each word, and then figure out the pattern change word by looking at the beginning letter and looking at the pictures.
