Updates for the Week of 03/12/18

Monday is a half day(March 12th)! Kindergarteners will be dismissed at 11:55PM. 

Special lessons- Recycle Roda will be visiting our class on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday to teach about being environmentally conscious! We also have Four Winds this Wednesday !

Friday, March 23rd-No school for the students. We will be scheduling conferences that day.

Thursday, March 29th We will be going to a food shelf.

We are asking each student to bring in one non-perishable food item by Tuesday, March 27th. 

Friday, March 30th- The kindergarten is going Ice Skating at EHS as a part of gym from 10:00-11:00! Please send in your child's boots, snow pants, gloves, hat, including a helmet. Please let me know if you need to borrow a helmet from school.Parents are welcome to meet us at the high school. We will be taking a bus.

04/09/18- Annual board meeting 7PM

April 9th-April 20th--Ms. Russell will be doing her solo weeks for her student teaching block during these two weeks. I will be around to support and to continue to run groups but Ms. Russell will have the chance to be the head teacher.

Wednesday, April 4th Math Fair. Parents are invited to come play math games with the students from 8am - 9am.

Monday, April 23rd-Friday, April 27th-No school. April break for everyone.

Writing Week

I love to write week Beginning Monday, Summit Street School will be celebrating I love to write week (March 12-16th).   Every student will bring home a folder with different grade level activities for each day of the week. Special writing tools and suggestions will be supplied for their writing enjoyment and the week will conclude with a school wide celebration.  Each student will share their story with a partner from another class. We are all looking forward to this exciting wonderful writing adventure!!! Gooooooo Summit!!!!

Assembly

The big day has come! Tomorrow from 8:15-8:45 is the Force and Motion assembly! If you would like to join please use the front entrance and sign in before heading to the gym for the assembly. We are so excited to share what the class has learned about force and motion!

Thursday, March 8th is our Force and Motion assembly from 8:15 - 8:45 AM. We have been learning about force and motion for the month and are finally ready to present to the school. Parents and family members are welcome at the assembly!
